Pantai Purnama is a beach destination at 9th mile of Port Dickson, isolated from view along the main road through PD but accessible through residential areas. The name translates to 'Moonlight' in English, refering to its peaceful environment ideal for gazing at the moon at night. The beach itself begins from the base of Teluk Kemang Observatory, but the coastal strip lies uninterrupted till reaching Blue Lagoon.
Usually uncrowded, even during weekends, Pantai Purnama is equipped with camping, shower and barbeque facilities, with a single canteen that serves local food. The secluded atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for quiet family getaways or a romantic rendezvous among couples. The sea waters are also clear and gentle, with pretty rock formations that reveal themselves at low tide.
